Why there's no upload step
Splitting a photo into a grid for a 9-piece Instagram profile mosaic, or a simple 3-panel carousel, usually means a dedicated app. This slices the image into equal cells directly in your browser and zips them up for download.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?+
No. Splitting happens entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
In what order should I post a 3×3 grid?+
Files are numbered left-to-right, top-to-bottom — post them to your feed in reverse order (bottom-right piece first) so they appear correctly in your profile grid.
Does it crop or stretch my photo to fit the grid?+
Neither — it divides the image's existing dimensions evenly, so very uneven aspect ratios can leave a few stray pixels trimmed off the edge.
What format are the pieces?+
JPG, bundled together in a single downloadable zip file.
