Why there's no upload step
PNG files are often much larger than they need to be, especially for photos — JPG's compression makes files far smaller for sharing, uploading, or emailing. Converting happens locally via your browser's Canvas API: your image is redrawn and re-encoded on your device, so nothing is ever uploaded.

Why convert PNG to JPG?+
