Why there's no upload step
1200×630 is the most reusable size in social media: Facebook link previews, X (Twitter) cards, LinkedIn shares, Slack and WhatsApp previews all build their large preview card from this 1.91:1 shape. Too small and Facebook falls back to a tiny thumbnail, which visibly kills click-through. Resizing locally first keeps your image sharp and correctly framed without uploading it anywhere else.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?+
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser — nothing touches a server before you share it yourself.
Does this size work outside Facebook?+
Yes — 1200×630 is the de-facto Open Graph standard, so the same file works for X, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, and WhatsApp link previews.
Will my image look stretched?+
No — aspect ratio is preserved, so your image fits inside the 1200×630 frame rather than being distorted.
Where should I keep the important content?+
Some platforms crop the edges of preview cards — keep headlines and faces inside the center of the frame.
