Why there's no upload step

Pinterest's algorithm favors the tall 2:3 ratio at 1000×1500 — pins outside this ratio get cropped or shrunk in the feed. Resizing your image yourself first, locally and without uploading it anywhere else, means you control exactly what gets seen instead of leaving it to Pinterest's automatic crop.

Questions
Is my image uploaded anywhere?+

No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser — nothing touches a server before you pin it yourself.

Why 1000×1500 and not square?+

Pinterest's own guidance favors the taller 2:3 ratio — it takes up more space in the feed and gets more engagement than square pins.

Will my image look stretched?+

No — aspect ratio is preserved, so your image fits inside the frame rather than being distorted.

What format is the output?+

JPG, which uploads directly to Pinterest.
