Compress Image to 100KB
without uploading it.
Job portals, visa forms, and government sites often cap photo uploads at 100KB — get there without uploading your photo anywhere first.
Drop an image, or click to browse
Drop your photo — it opens with 100KB already selected as the target.
Click "Compress to ~100 KB".
Download and upload the result wherever it's needed.
Why there's no upload step
A 100KB limit is common on application portals that were built for slow connections or small storage quotas — passport/visa applications, exam registrations, and older government systems are frequent offenders. This tool searches JPEG quality levels locally in your browser until it finds the highest quality that still fits under 100KB, so you're not guessing and re-uploading five times.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere first?+
No — the whole point of this page is that you never have to upload the original photo to get it under 100KB. Compression happens locally in your browser.
Will 100KB look blurry?+
For a typical photo (a headshot, ID photo, or scanned signature), 100KB is usually enough for a clear result. Very large or highly detailed originals may show more compression than a simple portrait.
What if it can't quite reach 100KB?+
The tool always returns the closest quality level at or under your target when that's achievable — it won't silently exceed 100KB.
Can I pick a different size instead?+
Yes — there's a custom KB field on the tool if 100KB isn't your actual limit.
