Why there's no upload step

eBay's hard minimum is only 500px, but at 1600px or larger on the longest side eBay activates the zoom feature — which lets buyers inspect details and measurably helps conversion. Square 1600×1600 is the standard most sellers use because it fills eBay's search grid cleanly without oversized files. Resizing locally means your product photos never pass through anyone else's server on the way to your listing.

Questions
Is my product photo uploaded anywhere?+

No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser — nothing touches a server before you upload it to eBay yourself.

Why 1600 pixels?+

That's the threshold where eBay enables zoom on your listing photos. Below it, buyers can't magnify details — and detail shots sell.

Will my photo look stretched?+

No — aspect ratio is preserved, so your photo fits inside the 1600×1600 frame rather than being distorted.

What formats does eBay accept?+

JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF and more, up to 12MB — JPG (what this tool outputs) is the most reliable choice.
