Why there's no upload step
A 4×6 inch print at the standard photo resolution of 300 DPI works out to exactly 1200×1800 pixels. Below that, prints look soft. One caveat: a 4×6 is a 2:3 shape, and most phone photos are 3:4 or 16:9 — this tool preserves your aspect ratio and fits the photo inside the 4×6 frame rather than stretching it, so nothing looks distorted.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?+
No — resizing happens entirely in your browser, which matters when printing personal photos.
Why 1200×1800 pixels?+
That's 4×6 inches at 300 DPI — the resolution print labs and home printers need for a crisp result.
Will my photo be stretched to fit 4×6?+
No — aspect ratio is preserved. Your photo is fit inside the frame at the largest size that doesn't distort it.
What about 5×7 or A4?+
Use the dedicated 5×7 or A4 pages, or enter custom pixels in the Resize tool.
