Why there's no upload step
A4 paper is 210×297mm, which at the professional print standard of 300 DPI works out to exactly 2480×3508 pixels. Anything much smaller prints soft or pixelated at full-page size. One honest caveat: A4's shape (1:1.414) doesn't match the 4:3 or 16:9 shape most photos are taken in — this tool preserves your aspect ratio and fits the image inside the A4 frame rather than stretching it, so your photo won't be distorted.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?+
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser — which matters when you're printing scanned documents and IDs.
Why 2480×3508 pixels?+
That's A4 (210×297mm) at 300 DPI — the resolution print shops and home printers need for a sharp full-page print.
Will my photo be stretched to fit A4?+
No — aspect ratio is preserved. Your image is fit inside the A4 frame at the largest size that doesn't distort it.
What about A4 for screens instead of print?+
On-screen A4 documents typically use 595×842 (72 DPI) — enter that in the custom Resize Image tool if that's what you need.
